Park...What's in name?

I've heard it asked before, but I must ask it again; why do we call a park a park? The only people I see "parked" are the people with older kids who can play on their own or are just there to take in the fresh air...not the toddlers or their parents! Today Max and I went to a very nice park on the lake with our friends Mrs. Corrie and Casen. Casen is about 3 months older than Max and showed Max how to run all over that place. Max was very amazed, but played it safe by either crawling or staying clamped onto my finger. After a picnic lunch, the boys played on a toddler sized playground for about an hour. Max discovered how to slide all by himself and also that mulch can be a very nice playtime snack. The weather has been amazing park weather and gives us all so much more energy than the frigged winter wind. The sun was not out today, but we could still feel its warmth. At this moment Max is conked out in his crib. I expect this nap to be much longer than normal...he played hard today! I can't wait to go back to this park in the spring and summer. It will be such a fun place to meet Jeff after work for a family date.

It’s still September 9.   We got off the bullet train at the correct stop (thankfully) and went to look for our guide.   We stood in a courtyard for about half an hour until our guide showed up.   He is so kind and apologetic.   He said something about traffic or a different train station…I’m not really sure, but it doesn’t matter.   As we road to our hotel in Jinan, I asked him what time we would meet our children tomorrow (Monday).   He very calmly said, well you all will meet him about 4pm today!   What?!!!   That was in two hours!!!   What a surprise!   When we got to our hotel our rooms weren’t ready yet and we were told they would be ready in one hour.   So I started to get nervous because I”m about to meet my son and we don’t even have a room ready yet.   We finally got one room and then we discovered that the lock/door knob separating our adjoining rooms was broken!   So then we had a worker in o...

Adoption

When God speaks to us in such a clear and persistent voice we have two options, we can ignore it or answer him YES! God has been telling Jeff and I that he has had plans for us since before we got married. I remember Jeff taking me home from a date and us swinging on my parent's porch swing and he said, "I wonder what kind of mission field we will be in?". God has never stopped leading us to the point that we are now which is adoption. Adoption specifically has been on our hearts for about 3 years. We almost started the foster classes and joining DCS and then we found out we were getting our little Piper. God had different plans. Right now we have our HUGE folder of documents that need to filled out and notarized, documents need to be collected, Jeff and I both have to write an autobiography, they even want our vet records! A Baby Shower

Sunday our friends from church gave Cooper a baby shower-a double shower for our new friend Sophie too! Yes our friends Christy and Chad had their precious little Sophie the Saturday before Cooper made his grand entrance. We had a fun cookout complete with hamburgers, hot-dogs, and chicken! The kids ran around and the adults got to talk...yes even I got to communicate with someone over the age of 1. Max even made up his own game by filling daddy's cup with ice from the drink bucket. Wow did he have fun making that mess. Our friends are wonderful! They gave us a wonderful party and special gifts for Cooper. He will be styling in all his new cloths this summer!
