I was looking back at some photos I took earlier this summer and came across these. They were taken the first time we went to the splash pad this summer. It was not only exciting because we have been waiting all winter and spring to splash in the water, but it was the first time Piper sat up by herself. I will now always remember my little princess sitting on the edge of the water sprinklers with her daddy ready to catch her if she fell. We love this place!!!

Cutie Crawler

Well she did it! I kept trying to keep Piper as a little little newborn, but she just keeps getting bigger and learning new things. She is just so smart! My Princess Piper is crawling all over the place now. She started crawling about 3 weeks ago, but as her confidence increases so do the places she discovers. She is such a quiet shy little girl. When we visit new places she won't crawl at all until we have been there quite a few times (like 4 or 5 times). It has been fun watching her get to this point. I always joke about not wanting the babies to learn to crawl, but crawling is a really fun stage. I love to sit or lay on the floor and call Piper. Her little brown eyes light us and her whole face smiles as she crawls to her mama. Nothing beats that!

Good Bye Meade Dr.

We sold our cute, little, blue house back in May...well we didn't close until the end of June (bankers...). We close on our new house in the big city of Knoxville this Thursday!!! We have had a great time living with my parents the past 3 months but are ready to move on to a place we call home. Here are some pics of the kids playing at our wonderful home in the county. (Love the super hero cape!) We will miss you blue house and our wonderful neighbors. Keep in touch!

Sweet Mary Anne

Sweet Sweet Mary Anne. She was more human than dog. When she looked at you she really seemed to know what you were thinking. Sweet Mary Anne, best friend to Gilligan. Whenever Gilligan had a grooming or vet appointment she would "cry" and wait by the door until he got home. Upon his arrival she would tackle him with excitement. Sweet, Sweet Mary Anne. When we first got her she was 6 months old and extremely timid and skiddish. She lived her whole life up until then in a concrete kennel...she learned quickly how wonderful grass is. With lots of love and a carpet cleaner Mary Anne grew out of her issues and loved us dearly. Sweet Mary Anne always seemed to sneak up on the couch while we were sitting on it and she was so good that we would never know when she got up. Sweet, Sweet Mary Anne, gentle, soft, smart, loving, crazy looking "bearded lady". Our sweet Mary Anne will not be forgotten. Mary Anne Summer 2005- August 7, 2011
