Recent Photo Shoot

Image
I just love taking photos of friends and their families. Here is a sample of my latest photo shoot. We took these at a really neat fort that is in the process of being built. It was a fun day with this cute blond and her parents. You can view more of the photos at expressionsfoto.com Side note: Cooper loves this little girl's mom. He gets incredibly hyper and wants to be held by her when ever we see her. It is too cute!!!

Little English Professor

Image
Jeff and I joke around about Max being our little English professor. Neither one of us are big readers, but our big-little man loves to read! I just love it! Every day for nap he lays in "Piper's room" and reads books for about an hour before drifting off to sleep. It is the sweetest thing I have ever seen. These photos were taken this past Saturday. I love how I found him past out asleep covered in good books. My mom the principal is so proud of this little book worm. Do you really think it is possible for Jeff and I to produce an English Professor...hehe...that's a funny thought.

Rita's

Image
The boys and I went to a great play date at Rita's Italian Ice in Market Square. The employees showed each toddler how they make the Italian ice. Max and Cooper even got to pour the sugar into the measuring cup. After the demonstration they gave each kid and mom a sample of the custard and Italian ice. Each kid even got to ring up the order on the cash register and put a dollar in the drawer! This was a really fun play date for the boys and I! I love sweets...probably more than the kids do. I have to mention that when Cooper tried to drink his custard and got it all over his face, he was quite proud of himself. When I got the camera out he immediately smiled so full of joy.

Date with Daddy

Image
Jeff took Max to the demolition derby at the fair last night. It started at 7pm and they didn't get home until 10:30pm! They had so much fun together. Jeff called Max yesterday when we were driving home from school and he asked Max if he wanted to go watch cars crash. Of course our little demolition dude got really excited. The rest of the way home he was telling me how when dad finished work he was going to come get Max and they would go in the jeep to watch cars crash. It was so sweet and so awesome to hear his new vocabulary pouring out of his little mouth. After a napless afternoon Daddy finally came home and the two of them went off together. Jeff said that they were able to watch 2 races and 2 demolition derbies. Max loved it so much! (Max did just tell me that it was really loud and he had to cover his ears.) After the car fun they went over to the fair grounds and he got to ride his very first fair rides. Jeff said that he was amazed how brave Max was. He actua

Cupcake Delight

Image
I made some wonderful devil's food cake cupcakes today and I'm pretty sure the boys enjoyed them. We ate them outside on the driveway which I didn't think was a big deal, but to Max it was the coolest thing ever! My family is so fun!

Too Early Piper

Sunday morning I woke up at 4am with painful contractions. After a few of them about 7 min apart, Jeff and I went into the living room to see if changing positions and drinking more water would stop them. Well it didn't. We ended up going to the hospital a little before 6am and thankfully the contractions ended the moment the nurse hooked me up to the monitors. On one side I really wanted to have atleast one contractions to prove that I was not at the hospital for the fun of it, but really I'm glad that Piper didn't come Sunday. We can't wait to see our new princess, but Sunday is just too early. Stay tight and warm inside for now Piper. Get big and healthy...just not too big.

Early Pumpkin Painting

Image
Cooper was born a month early, so with that in mind I thought it would be best for the boys and I to do some holiday crafts a little early. We went to a near by county nursery/market and I let the kids pick out a small pumpkin and one big one. When we got home they got a chance to decorate their own pumpkins with paint brushes and kitchen supplies. I love to watch their creativity and an added bonus, now I have a new holiday dinning room table decoration created my the very famous Bostrom Boys!

Labor Day

Image
Here are some cute pictures of the boys playing in a water tub on Labor Day. Jeff was working on some projects outside and the kids of course wanted to be out there with him. We filled this tub with water and they were entertained for about 30 min! That's a long time for toddlers...hehe.

Spontaneous Weekend Trip

Image
Friday night Jeff called his brother and our sister in-law to see if we could invite ourselves over to their Greenville, NC home. So yes, we once again took a very spontaneous trip...we just don't plan. We had a great time with Jake, Cara, Cole, and Claire. The four kids sure played hard together. The weather was so beautiful that we were able to spend most of our time outside. My favorite kind of weekend.

Silly Saturday Morning

Image
Labor Day Saturday morning the boys found a new way to watch cartoons. They are so silly, yet so creative!

Beans and Rice

Image
Cooper and I always enjoy bonding time while Max finishes his nap. It is a special time that I think encourages Cooper to take a shorter nap. Today I got brave and actually let Coop Man play with dry rice and beans in the kitchen. He loved scooping and putting the ingredient into different cups. Yes it may take me a month to sweep up all that is on the floor right now, but I'll tackle that one when they go to bed tonight. He just had so much fun and let's not forget all the educational benefits this game is giving him. Side note...today at MOPS (Moms of Preschoolers) the speaker said that the most creative homes are the messiest. My kids are going to have such an advantage over those organized clean moms that I've always dreamed of becoming. HEHEH!
