Snow!

Image
The snow started today a little after 3pm and is still coming down! We took the boys out for a wagon ride before the snow had covered the roads. Cooper squealed with delight until he wanted his paci again. His eyes were so wide. I'm pretty sure he was excited about it. I'm definitely sure Max was excited. One of his favorite books is called "Snow" and he has been looking at pictures and TV shows about snow, but nothing beats the real thing. It is suppose to keep falling tomorrow...we hope so!!! "No snow said man with dog. No snow said lady with hat. No snow said radio, no snow said TV. BUT all snow knows is snow, snow, snow." "Snow"...one of Max's favorite books.

Brave Little Man

Yesterday Max had tubes put in his ears and his adenoids removed. Jeff and I were definitely a lot more nervous that Max was! He did so great! Jeff and I were able to stay with him as they were preparing for the surgery. (CC stayed with Cooper in the waiting room.) They gave him some "happy juice" that calmed and relaxed him. He was so funny. He didn't act too differently because he is such a crazy little boy to begin with, but he was just a bit more distracted. Max would go from telling us to lay our heads on his pillow to checking out the trash can next to him. I guess that isn't too much different from normal Max....hehe. When they were ready to take him to surgery, the nurse asked him if he wanted her to carry him or did he want to ride in the bed. He half way held his arms up and went right to her. Not a tear was shed! He just went right it. WOW! (That really surprised Jeff and I, because Max is going through yet another separation anxiety stage.)

Rice Rice Baby

Yes, the time has come to tell the truth. My boys are not clean eaters. Surprised...hehe...no your not. Cooper has just learned all about rice and how awesome it is to eat and to throw! Eating is so much more fun when you are a baby.

A is for...

It is so amazing how much Max is soaking up now. It seems like everyday he is learning a new color, shape, or other random word. I love to watch him explore new ideas on his own. He has so much of his daddy's mechanical mind and my creative side. The other day he pulled out the CD sleaves from the desk drawer. He held one up to his eyes so he could look through it and see the world as only blue. I smiled and instead of having him clean up his new mess of sleaves all over the floor we made a toddler version of stain glass. As he handed me each sleave and told me the color I taped it to the window in our den. It really looks neat and both boys have enjoyed looking at it as they play. He has not gone to preschool this week because of his upcoming surgery (we don't need any colds this week) so I have been having our own preschool here at home. We have colored, cut, and glued hearts for valentines day and learned about the letter "A". We have an alligator "A

Check it out!

These are some fun pictures from these past few days. I hope you enjoy them. I'll recap in short descriptions: Cooper is now crawling everywhere and getting into everything! My life has gotten drastically easier yet harder at the same time in a matter of days. Bath time is so much cooler with their new bath soap that doubles as paint! Thanks CC and Granddad! Max got his first hair cut not by mom. He was really funny. He sat there like a nervous statue a bit scared to do anything. Cooper found the dog's water bowl and Max showed him how it was done. Daddy pulled Max in the wagon when it snowed. Jeff kept asking him if he wanted to go and warm up, but he said no each time. I didn't want Coop to get in the cold air just yet. It has been the coldest winter I can remember! The boys love their wagon and bike! Cooper really enjoys spaghetti. Max loves "hoc-keeee"!

Jeff's Birthday

Image
Jeff had a birthday January 9. (Yes I am a bit behind.) His parents gave Jeff and I tickets to a Preditor's game! For those of you who don't know (I didn't until Jim and Jan told me), the Preditors are Nashville's hockey team. It was such a fun time. Nana and Gramps took excelent care of the boys and Jeff and I had a night on the town. All the restraunts near the stadium were packed, but we found a sports grill inside a fancy hotel next to the staduim. It was packed, but we ate dinner without bibs or sippy cups and even got to eat at the SAME TIME! That right there was enough of a birthday gift, but we still got to go to the game. That was the first big hockey game that we have gone to and had a blast. Jeff definitely was inspired to go back to K-Town and show his team how to play...or at least how to have fun! Thank you so much Jim and Jan for that awesome birthday gift that ended up being for the both of us.

Max's Birthday Party

Image
We had a crazy birthday party for our Max Man on Jan. 2nd. We had a great turnout of friends and family...and a big red surprise. Our neighbor, Adam, is a paramedic and was gracious enough to bring one of the firetruck by for the party. Max and his little friends just loved it, but they did seem a bit stand offish at first. What little kid would not be a little scared at first sight of a HUGE red truck with a loud engine. It was great! When Max warmed up to the truck, he climbed on it and in it and inspected every light...yes lights are pretty awesome to him right now. It was so much fun spending time friends and family to celebrate our little man with us. We can't believe that he is already 2. We love you so much Max Man!!!

Our Anniversary

Image
Jeffrey and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary today. Well I guess it is midnight right now so technically we celebrated yesterday, January 1st. As we were straightening up the house this morning, Jeff found a CD labeled Jebecca. We he put it in the computer we found a lot of pictures of when we were dating. Most of our dates were outdoors either on the lake paddling or in the mountains hiking. We have so many wonderful memories. As Jeffrey and I sat at a table for 10 at Wasabis and watched the Japanese chef prepare our food in front of us, we talked about some of our favorite memories from these last 5 years. He first mentioned being a family..a growing one and how much fun that has been. We both agreed that camping has always been a highlight and I just loved our trip to New York City and finding that little Thai restaurant that only the locals frequented. I just can't believe that it has already been five years. On one side it feels like the time has flown by wit
