Day 9

Day 9: August 3, 2014
            Today short and sweet, we went to visit the Summer Palace and see an acrabat show.  The Palace was set on a beautiful lake and had tons of different building that had specific purposes.  We were able to ride a boat with a dragon’s head and tail back to the bus. 
            After the Summer Palace tour, we had a few hours to rest in the hotel before an acrabat show.  Miley was terrified of it!  I don’t know if it was the dark room or the loud music or both but she and I got to see 1/3 of the first act before going to the lobby.  She is more important to us than the show anyway. 

            Tomorrow the group leaves us here in Beijing and we are hoping to get a chance to visit with Jeff’s cousin for a couple of days.

We Still Love Eachother

When we were first Married, Jeff's Dad would always ask us if we still love eachother...well we do. This weekend we are celebrating our 6 year anniversery of our first date! I had to show off what Jeff got me because it is so neat. He said it is to help me feed Cooper...but I know he wanted it for himself too. He is very sneaky...hehe. Anyway, I will be enjoying my new Eagle's Nest lounger for a very long time. (If you come to visit us I might let you try it out.)

Day 3: July 28

Today was THE day!  Miley Mengcong Bostrom’s Gotcha day!  We woke up anxiously at 5am and waited until 6:30 before going down to breakfast.  Breakfast was wonderful.  There were all kinds of food we had never had before and some that looked familiar like fruit, sausage, and bacon.   We had to wait until 10:30 until finally getting to meet Miley so we walked around the inside and outside of the hotel.  There is a lap pool that is amazing. We can’t wait to swim in it….maybe tomorrow.  We found a bakery that sells the cutest cakes in the shape of cars or cartoon characters.  We will probably buy one for Miley, because tomorrow is her birthday.  We were mainly trying to waist time… When it was finally time, our guide told one family member come outside and get your new child.  Well that wasn’t going to happen, Jeff and I both went with him….and….we….waited….again!  It was probably one a couple of minutes, but suddenly we saw three people with three babies walking toward th
