A is for...
It is so amazing how much Max is soaking up now. It seems like everyday he is learning a new color, shape, or other random word. I love to watch him explore new ideas on his own. He has so much of his daddy's mechanical mind and my creative side. The other day he pulled out the CD sleaves from the desk drawer. He held one up to his eyes so he could look through it and see the world as only blue. I smiled and instead of having him clean up his new mess of sleaves all over the floor we made a toddler version of stain glass. As he handed me each sleave and told me the color I taped it to the window in our den. It really looks neat and both boys have enjoyed looking at it as they play.
He has not gone to preschool this week because of his upcoming surgery (we don't need any colds this week) so I have been having our own preschool here at home. We have colored, cut, and glued hearts for valentines day and learned about the letter "A". We have an alligator "A" and colored, cut, and glued pictures of things that start with "A". Max really liked to watch me cut. He kept giving me paper to cut...I ended up cutting up a lot of scrap paper.
We played with a sensory pan (pan with beans). That was really fun and even better because little brother was napping so we had time to pick up all the beans off the floor before he found them.
What about recess? I chased him around the house for about 30 min before nap time. (I was definitely worn out more than he was.)
I have really enjoyed doing these activities with him, but I sure am thankful for his preschool!
