Welcome to Earth!

Wow, has our life changed...again! Last Wednesday, April 8, 2009, I woke up around 1:30 or 2:00 am with some contractions. I woke Jeff and let him know, but told him to go back to sleep because it was probably a false alarm again. By 3am I woke Jeff up again and told him that they were not going away and were getting harder. We waited on the couch watching late night TV until about 4:30am and then we decided it was time and needed to wake Max up and get to the hospital. Thankfully we got a hold of Joanna on the phone and she woke mom and dad up and told them what was going on. When we got to the hospital, mom met us there to take care of our precious Max. Jeff and I were so nervous that this was just another false alarm and we had gotten my Mom all the way to the hospital for no reason at that insane hour. I was still only 36 and a 1/2 weeks along and my doctor wanted to see if the contractions would stop with some fluids...but they didn't! We were admitted and taken to a room where 13 hours later Cooper Stephen Bostrom became part of our family! It has been so wonderful having our two boys home. There is so much more love to give with two sons in our family!

We feel very blessed that Jeff has been able to take this entire week off from work. I am pretty nervous about caring for both boys needs on my own and he is helping us come up with some sort of routine. So far Cooper has been an easy baby to take care of. He doesn't cry very much and when he does he is hungry. He sleeps during the night and only wakes for a couple of feedings.

Max is interacting really well with him. He is very curious of his new little brother and wants to touch him all the time. He has shown a couple of jealous moments, but this was expected and will pass with time.

We have loved sharing our new family with friends and family. It is so exciting to call and "brag" about our handsome Cooper.

We are truly proud new parents of a loving little boy!
