Summer 2014...WOW!

Well....after 2 years...I'm back!  I am resurrecting our family blog to document our upcoming trip to China to adopt our sweet Miley girl, but before Jeff and I get on that airplane I thought I would share some of our photos from this past summer.  

 All three kids have been on the Wahoo's swim team.  The boys are swimming harder than ever and really progressing, but more importantly they love it!  Both boys are now swimming freestyle and backstroke in swim meets and Cooper has even swam breast stroke!  Wow!  Piper is in a non-swimmer group lovingly called the "feeders" group.  She started out this summer terrified to put her face in the water and now she is attempting dives and freestyle swimming about 6 feet across the pool.  We are so proud of all of them!  

 Our summer has consisted of going to the pool, watching movies, and going to a few parks. We have gone camping once up to Rhone mountain State park.  We went Memorial Day Weekend and it was actually very cold at night.  We had a great time.  We had my mom and Jeff's sister and brother in law and their cute girl come and camp with us.  It was a great trip.

We Still Love Eachother

When we were first Married, Jeff's Dad would always ask us if we still love eachother...well we do. This weekend we are celebrating our 6 year anniversery of our first date! I had to show off what Jeff got me because it is so neat. He said it is to help me feed Cooper...but I know he wanted it for himself too. He is very sneaky...hehe. Anyway, I will be enjoying my new Eagle's Nest lounger for a very long time. (If you come to visit us I might let you try it out.)

Day 3: July 28

Today was THE day!  Miley Mengcong Bostrom’s Gotcha day!  We woke up anxiously at 5am and waited until 6:30 before going down to breakfast.  Breakfast was wonderful.  There were all kinds of food we had never had before and some that looked familiar like fruit, sausage, and bacon.   We had to wait until 10:30 until finally getting to meet Miley so we walked around the inside and outside of the hotel.  There is a lap pool that is amazing. We can’t wait to swim in it….maybe tomorrow.  We found a bakery that sells the cutest cakes in the shape of cars or cartoon characters.  We will probably buy one for Miley, because tomorrow is her birthday.  We were mainly trying to waist time… When it was finally time, our guide told one family member come outside and get your new child.  Well that wasn’t going to happen, Jeff and I both went with him….and….we….waited….again!  It was probably one a couple of minutes, but suddenly we saw three people with three babies walking toward th
