Max Updates
Cooper is not the only one who has been changing a lot. Max Man has grown up so much lately. He is now in his very own big boy bed and going to school twice a week! Wow, where did my little baby go?
We made the bed transition a couple of weeks ago-definitely not planned. Both boys and I were in Max's room playing while I sorted Max's cloths. Max let me know that he wanted to get in his crib so when I did he pretended to be asleep. (He really likes to play asleep...he even snores!) So I would not have to keep getting him in and out of his crib, I took off the side bars so he could play by himself. He loved it! For the next few days we let him sleep without the side rails. He did great for naps, but did fall out in the middle of the night so we put the rails back on. That Friday night we took down his crib and Max helped his daddy put rails on his bright new yellow bed. That is now his favorite place to play! All day he signs bed and points to me and we have to go play in his bed. He is too funny. Since then, he does great at bed time, but naps he never wants to stay in the bed (too many toys to play with in his room). He knows not to come out of his room, but he plays and doesn't sleep...don't worry I am working on that one and he will come around soon.
Last Monday was his first day of school! Wow! My little man dressed in his cutest polo shirt and dinosour backpack walked right into his classroom and began to play like he had been there a thousand times before. What a blessing! I was so nervous that he would scream and cling to me, but he didn't. He did come back to give me a hug and rub noses, but that was very quick. When I came back to pick him up, he ran to me arms wide open! That was a great feeling. He really loves to go to school and is learning so much from his teachers and new friends.
